Before beginning your genealogy research
you will want to create a genealogical research kit. This kit will contain
everything you need to conduct your research and possibly a few extras as well.
Being prepared will save a lot of wasted trips and time and will make your
research time more productive and gratifying. The following list will give you
an idea of the basic materials that you will need, but by no means includes
everything you may require for your research. With this list you have the
option of selecting the tools are most appropriate for your needs. Be sure to
purchase a low-cost tote bag or briefcase to store and carry your research
materials.
