Embellishments

Complement your scrapbook memorabilia by
adding some whimsical decorations using borders, acid/lignin-free die cuts,
stickers, heritage punch-outs, stamps and rub-ons.
These items can add the final touches to your pages.
Keep with the overall
motif and add just enough embellishment to pull the pieces together. Dont
forget to add information about your subjects, as this is only half of the
story. Some items that you can use to dress up your scrapbook include:
Stickers -- are easy to work with and will add a refined appearance
to your scrapbook.
Acid-Free/
Lignin-Free Die Cuts come in many pre-cut shapes, sizes and colors.
They can add style to your pages and are especially useful if you are not
artistically inclined.
Shaped Punches you can
create a mixture of decorative shapes by using punches to cut them from thick,
sturdy paper (acid/lignin-free) called cardstock.
Buttons -- Buttons can add a little extra to
a scrapbook as well, but use caution when using them around babies and very
young children.
Fabric -- fabric can be a wonderful
addition to any scrapbook and most is easy to write or stamp on. Bits of
lacework, ribbon, or quilting can be trimmed and added to your scrapbook. You
will find a wide variety of printed fabrics that make perfect accents.
