PC Accessories
Pros: you can use your PC to store
information directly to the hard drive, on CD ROMs, DVD’s (can last up to 3 decades),
Floppy Disks, or Removable Jump Drives, which will save on storage space. Also,
indexing and other time-consuming functions can be completed in less time than
if done by hand.
Cons: not everyone owns a PC so you will
still need to create printed documents. Software becomes outdated rather
quickly, system failure is always a risk, and cheaper CDs/DVDS may become
unreadable from wear.
What it basically boils down to
is that more than one storage system is best and will work for almost everyone.
How you arrange your records is completely up to you, but remember
that keeping organized is a very important and continuous process. Also
remember to keep your filing system SIMPLE!
